The Australian Gallery Serpentine
was not listen in the Shopping section - for no obvious reason. Located in
Sydney, New South Wales, they ship to most countries, except few countries
that have high risk of fraud. Their overbust corset Femme Fatale with
straps gives an hourglass figure, is suitable for larger busts, and is
priced at AUS$300 (€190 / US$220) in custom sizes. Their FAQ (Frequently
Asked Questions) has good general corset information and information about their
corsets, e.g. they honestly explain that their corsets are sturdily constructed
and suitable for regular social wear, but not for daily waist training. Among
their corset
accessories is a Back
Modesty Panel to protect the skin from the lacing cords, and Corset
Storage bags. They also make dresses, like the Back Lacing Fishtail Dress,
skirts, coats, jewellery, gothic, bridal and Victoriana.

A Plea for Eros
Siri Hustvedt is the author of A Plea for Eros which was published as paperback
by Sceptre on 13th February 2006 (other bindings are available). The essays Eight
Days in a Corset appear in the book, and she write about the corset as a
clothing item and as an idea. The essay is published in New
Statesman with the title Pulling
Power, and she writes: "The corset takes the difference between men
and women and runs wild with it" and "In other words, the idea is what
matters. Clothes give us insight into culture and its wishes, and into
individuals and their desires. More than who you are, clothes articulate what
you want to be". As a feature, you can hear
the essay being read to you.

J.C.Creations has updated their website for made to measure and
ready-made corsets. There are photos from
L'Oreal Color Trophy 2006
that was arranged at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam, Faya
in JC-182 Nikki, JC-242 Pauline ready-made corset and JC-236 Merle made to
measure corset.

about Dark Garden, a corsetmaker also
located in the SF area. The articles explains about the owner, Autumn Adamme,
her staff of 12 and how the make corsets for customers locally and worldwide.

Mme Sher Corsets is a Brazilian corsetmaker that makes custom made corsets for tight-lacing.
The website has photos of corsets she has made, information about choosing the
model and guidelines for wearing corsets.

Femme Fatale is a Russian corsetmaker based in Moscow.
Her corsets are based on 19th century patterns and she make them in various
styles for wedding, evening and historical wear. Using horse hair and several
layers of fabric to strengthen the corsets, placing 22 steel bones into a
normal sized corset, and ensuring absence of wrinkles in the corsets.
