Breathe in. Corsets are back
is the title of an article by Jennifer Grogan in Columbia Journalism News.
The interviewed woman, Sara Skluzacek, is a skeptical before trying a corset in
Bloomingdale’s, but after trying it, she says “I think I’d totally wear it
to a bar or a party". The health issues are then mentioned - "The back
muscles can become reliant on external support" and "if you
apply too much pressure on the abdomen, it can create acid reflux"
(editors emphasis). Cathie Jung is
mentioned. The interviewed woman thinks that US$98 is too expensive for a
corset.

a fitting is required, and it is done with a lightly boned mock up that is
send back and forth by mail. Made in Cotton Coutil it is priced at US$250 for
waist size 24"-38".
