About
I have been interested in corsets since I was about 16, as the Vivienne
Westwood style flat front corsets were in fashion. I bought a couple of
look-alikes from High Street shops and then began looking for a real corset. I
originally wanted a Baroque flat front corset but they are very expensive when
you are a student! I bought my first Vollers corset when I was 20, a size 26.
Not tiny, but it was good enough for me and it served me well! I bought a latex
corset and skirt for clubbing, which was a real head-turner at the time. The
next one wasn't quite a corset, but I loved it all the same. In 2001, I bought a
stainless steel breastplate and matching cuffs from Cathouse in Leeds, via their
website. I bought two custom-made corsets via the internet from an Australian
company in 2002; they were the closest I ever got to the baroque style I was
looking for. I had one in purple and one in red, and again wore them for
clubbing. I tried to make sure my outfits were original, and you know it means
something when other girls come up and tell you that you look great. :o)
I didn't wear a corset again for a few years, but I recently bought a denim
Vollers corset from eBay. I recently wore it to our school prom, as the theme
was "Footballer's Wives." I would like to start buying more corsets
again and wearing them more often. Unfortunately, having just bought my first
house, things are a bit tight, so I don't really go out anywhere to wear them!
